Cultural background
Dan Cong is the essential tea of Chaozhou gongfu cha, the Teochew tea ritual: three cups stand in a triangle for the host and two guests, and the tea is poured from a height. This practice is part of China's tea traditions inscribed by UNESCO in 2022. In Bangkok, too, the Teochew became the largest Chinese community.
